Arup updates its policies to address emerging regional issues. This year, the Environmental Policy was revised to the Climate, Nature, and Environment Policy, emphasizing climate and nature. A notable collaboration with WWF focuses on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) for rural town development, exemplified by the Mui Wo project in Hong Kong, which integrates eco-shoreline, regenerative agriculture, aerial greening, wetland treatment, and river revitalization.
Arup also refreshed its EDI strategy, not only to our own members but also towards the work we do. The strategy promotes inclusive design and community engagement, as seen in PPP road projects in Colombia, which include stakeholder consultations and social due diligence to enhance local accessibility and safety.
