Working in partnership with owners and investors, Vercity’s core strength is in our SPV Management fundamentals, with over 400 specialist staff across all the management disciplines: general, financial, operational, and asset, supported by specialist professional services. In 2024, Vercity became a top 25 inclusive employer (accredited by Investors in Diversity).
Across our portfolio, we showcase what makes us different. In our submission, we highlighted two particular examples demonstrating: significant carbon reduction, award-winning collaboration, expedited change management, and community initiatives.
We highlighted three innovative aspects we progressed in 2024, making Vercity unique and advancing PPPs:
Social Responsibility: Our amazing teams need little encouragement to engage with our local communities. To help, Vercity actively promotes Volunteer Days and uses Recognition Awards to further encourage. In 2024, we joined Neighbourly, which helped us connect with over 35,000 charities and community groups.
Energy Efficiency: Vercity became carbon neutral in 2024. We deployed a bespoke framework that brings the public and private sectors together on their net-zero journeys, enabling effective investments, equating to millions of kilograms of carbon reduction.
Digital Thinking: In 2024, Vercity invested in a Chief Digital Officer and a PowerBI specialist, with enhanced platforms, leveraging AI. We introduced data apprenticeships for staff to continue developing our systems and deployed our Floor Walker App, streamlining data collection at the site level.
